Easy way to make Major and Minor chords on your piano/keyboard
Sent: February 18, 2009
Heres a simple trick you can use to figure out any Major chord, or Minor chord.
Major chord for "C" Put your first finger on C, then count up 4 notes, using both the black and white keys. That second note then is the E. Then count up 3 more notes, and the 3rd note is the G, so C, E, and G then, is your C chord.
Try it with any other note and will work for you.
For F chord, your first finger goes on F, then count up 4 notes, and youre next note will be A. Then count up 3 more notes, and your last note int the chord will be C.
1 plus 4 plus 3 gives you all the major chords.
For minor chords, its 1 plus 3 plus 4.
For instance, the Cminor chord. Put your first finger on the C, count up 3, your second note them would be the Eb, then count up 4 and your 3rd note will be the G.
Just remember Major chords 1 + 4 + 3
Minor chords 1 + 3 + 4
